At dusk & eight trains from Paris we made it up to the small town of Mürren. Riding the funicular rail car up the mountain and gasping at the vast peaks of Jungfrau was a pretty amazing and most memorable ride. Yes, the cows do wear gargantuan cowbells around their necks. We checked into the Hotel Alpina and enjoyed a light snack, pomme frittes (french fries) and eggs. To our surprise every person in the restaurant that night was an American.

The following day we took a day hike down into the valley of Lauterbrunnen "Valley of the Clear Springs". We enjoyed lunch in Gimmewald and then proceeded with our 6 hour hike down to our destination of Trummlebach Falls.
