Back to Austria  In Bad Ischl we woke to a small parade celebrating the first day of Octoberfest! We also enjoyed a great breakfast of braunschweiger, okay well I sure did enjoy it.We intended to do some shopping in Bad Ischl but quickly discovered that not only do Europeans close the shops for a two hour lunch break, they also don't work weekends! Sheeesh, what's a girl to do?

View from our hotel room. "I'm looking, I'm looking." As we checked into the hotel the man at the front desk kept repeating this, we finally figured out what he meant, he was asking us if we wanted to check out the room before we spent the night, quite funny.
